Presidential aspirant of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, Atiku Abubakar, held a closed-door meeting with former President
Olusegun Obasanjo, at Mr. Obasanjo’s home in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Mr. Abubakar, who was vice president
under Mr. Obasanjo, was at his former boss’ home in the afternoon, with a
convoy of vehicles carrying several supporters.
On arrival, Mr. Abubakar went into a
closed-door meeting with Mr. Obasanjo, which lasted for over 30 minutes.
His supporters remained outside
singing Atiku’s praises.
Speaking to journalists after the
meeting, Mr. Abubakar said he had come to pay his respects to Mr. Obasanjo and
to discuss the state of the nation. He maintained that his relationship with
Mr. Obasanjo was extremely cordial.
